A New Beginning

Hello Again. Shortly after I started this blog several things happened in my life that made it difficult to spend time on the computer. Amongst those things were two huge issues. First, my hubby was laid off and most importantly, my father became terminally ill. Suffice it to say that these two situations resulted in my having to make some personal changes in order to weather both storms, financially and emotionally.

My 'better half' has been working in a new career for a while and my dear sweet Dad is at peace sitting by Jesus side. It took a long while for me to grieve but I feel that I am at a point where I need to get back on track and resume journaling in this blog. I'm really looking forward to it now that I have gotten excited about trying new fiber & sewing projects. Actually, there are so many other crafts and hobby's that I am going to work on, including my art. Soon I will be posting pics of my projects for all to see. I can hardly wait! See you soon.

My first Blog and my first Post

This post is my initiation into the ever elusive blog world. My daughter recently informed me that I was missing a very crucial forum in which I could not only introduce the world to my hand crafted products, but I could also journal about my feelings, thoughts and current projects, also!!! I wasn't sure what she was talking about until she showed me her blog. I was totally blown away by how complicated and interesting and beautiful her blog looked. I felt slightly sneaky and guilty as I read her postings, almost as if I were reading her private journal. I told her this and she chuckled as she informed me that she was writing to let the world in so they could know and understand her and HER world as she saw it!

Okay. I get it now...so here I am ready to get started. My daughter assured me that it was easier to create my own blog than it looked and she would guide me through the steps. How thankful I am that she is so savvy in this "computerized" arena. This is where I prayed that I had properly instilled in her the need to exhibit her greatest level of patience with me, her mother.

Please bear with me as I journey into this exciting and mysterious world of blogging. It is fascinating to me knowing that anyone in the whole wide world can have a door into my mind and can see what is important to me. What a learning curve this will be. I guess it is true. You are never to old to learn something new!
